Every application shall be forwarded to the Secretariat who shall then submit it to the Executive Committee for approval. The Executive Committee may at its discretion reject any application without assigning any reason. On approval of an application, the applicant will need to pay the prescribed entrance fee and annual subscription within 2 weeks of election to membership.

Regular Membership

A Regular Member shall be a company, corporation, association, organization or other entity, engaged in the business of development, ownership or management of one or more shopping centre(s).

A Regular Member shall be entitled to nominate one (1) member of its staff (and an alternate) who shall be engaged at a managerial or executive level in the development, ownership or management of at least one (1) shopping centre with a lettable floor area of at least 60,000 sq ft for use as retail outlets (including food and beverage outlets). Each Regular Member shall have one (1) vote. Only Regular Members are entitled to attend and vote at the General Meetings of the Association and to hold office in the Executive Committee of the Association.

Associate Membership

An Associate Member shall be an individual, company, corporation, association, organization or other entity engaged in a trade, profession or industry allied to the development, ownership or management of a shopping center, including without limitation, estate agents, lawyers, architects, suppliers, promotion, advertising and public relations agencies, merchant associations located in shopping centres, retailers, any governmental or quasi-governmental entity, statutory board or statutory corporation, recognized college or university, polytechnic or other educational institution.

An Associate Member, other than an individual, may nominate one (1) member of its staff to represent it in the Association's activities open to Associate Members.

Affiliate Membership

An Affiliate Member shall be an individual employed at an executive or managerial level by a Regular Member or an Associate Member.
